THINK ABOUT THIS: Bats, Birds and a Bible Blunder?

There are three things I know about bats: They are creepy looking, they are often associated with Halloween and scary movies, and the deadly Covid-19 virus allegedly came from those living in caves in China that somehow ended up on somebody’s dinner table in the city of Wuhan.

Are bats birds or mammals? Depends on who you ask and when? (Screenshot from YouTube).

But skeptics see something else in bats; namely, an alleged contradiction or classification error by Moses that renders the rest of the Bible as just another book, not the inerrant Word of God that Christians claim it to be. Moses called bats birds, and everybody knows bats are mammals, not birds, right?

Well, hold on, let’s give this a deeper examination, says Eric Lyons of the Apologetics Press. Lyons points out that the classification system in use when Moses grouped bats with birds was rather different from modern approach to the task. He says a lot more about bats, birds and God, but you’ll just have to watch the following video to hear it. Trust me, it will be time well-spent:
