DESIGN OR EVOLUTION? The Complicated Truth About The ‘Simple’ Jellyfish

(7:28 VIEWING) — Here’s a scientific fact most people do not know: The most efficient swimmer in the world’s oceans, lakes and rivers is the Jellyfish, that odd creature that has no brain, no bones and no heart.

This is just one of the 2,000 different kinds of jellyfish known to exist. (Screenshot from YouTube).

Surprised? That’s just the first of a whole bunch of facts about the jellyfish known by extraordinarily few people outside of the field of marine biology. Here’s another one of those facts: There are 2,000 distinct kinds of jellyfish and they don’t all sting!

So, why is all of this significant? As the filmmakers at the John 10:10 Project and Illustra Media explain regarding their following video:

“On a planet filled with living organisms that are wonderfully equipped to travel though water, one surprising creature stands out as the most efficient swimmer of them all—the jellyfish.

“This remarkable animal has no skeleton, blood or heart, yet it’s designed to expend the least amount of energy as it journeys through the oceans of the world. The biological engineering involved has captivated scientists who seek to re-create its unexpected genius in the form of robotic locomotion.”

Now, next question: Which best explains how the jellyfish came about, through the random selection inherent in evolutionary materialism or the intelligently execution of purposeful design?

I don’t have enough imagination to believe in evolution.
