TESTIMONIES: Atheist Aussie Teacher Just Happened to Get on ‘That’ Bus With ‘That’ Guy
Frank Frederico grew up in a Catholic family in Australia and by the time he was 16 years of age, he had concluded that Christianity was not based on historical fact but was rather a bunch of apocryphal stories, legends of dubious origin and outright lies. By the time he entered university, Frank was a confirmed atheist.
After graduating college and becoming a history teacher, he thought he was done forever with God and Jesus and all that fictional nonsense from his upbringing. But it turned out that God had other plans for Frank and those other plans began to take concrete shape one day when he got on the last bus and found himself sitting in the last seat beside …. a Christian science teacher!
In the following 11:47 video from Side B Stories of atheists who find genuine faith and changed lives in Jesus Christ, Frank explains what happened next, as he discovered the historical accuracy and credibility of the New Testament and it’s record of Jesus’ life, sacrifice on the cross and resurrection. It’s really quite an amazing story that didn’t “just happen!”
Why didn’t any of the soldiers guarding the tomb – the people most likely to see the actual Resurrection event – why didn’t any of them convert?
That is a great question, Steve. I would suggest we have no evidence to suggest that any of them did convert, but then we also have no evidence that any of them were injured, driven mad, executed for failing at their duty or indeed anything else. But the absence of evidence is not evidence for the conclusion that none of the guards converted.
