If that vision of the universe and the existence of human beings is accurate, then nobody has anything to look forward to other than living some unknown number of years in which it makes zero difference whether those years are marked by pain, suffering, joy or contentment. After that …. an eternity of …. nothingness.
But, as philosopher of science and Director of the Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture Stephen explains in the following video for Prager U, that is precisely what is wrong with scientific atheism because the evidence from science is abundant and persuasive that we aren’t here by chance and that the universe is anything but the product of Dawkins’ “blind, pitiless indifference:”
