WHAT WOULD YOU SAY: Why Would God Punish Jesus for My Sins?

It’s a question that typically is the preface to a series of claims about God’s injustice, the unfairness of the world, and cosmic child abuse. And there is a surface appearance of reasonableness to the claims because what happened to Jesus was, from a human perspective, horribly unfair and unjust.
But to understand fully just what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross, it is essential that His actions be understood from His perspective as a member of the Trinity. Viewed in that light, then the fact Jesus knew what would happen to Him in Jerusalem and yet went forward with His ministry all the way to the end is the greatest demonstration of love ever.
