HillFaith’s ‘Office Hours’ Are Back! A Listening Ear And Maybe Some Useful Advice

Working on the Hill is not easy. The new challenges are big and small, continuous, and sometimes incredibly frustrating.

That is why it sometimes helps to have somebody to turn to for advice who has been around the Hill Merry-Go-Round a few times, somebody who knows how to listen and who can offer sound advice.

Finding such a person, someone as a mentor that you trust isn’t easy, either. I know because I’ve been there on both sides of the mentor/mentee relationship.

My first priority is honoring you as a unique, talented person with a great future. My second priority is to be a good listener. It’s an honor to play even a small part in your journey.

I started HillFaith for two reasons: To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ that so dramatically changed my life, and to share what I’ve learned in my many years working on the Hill as a staffer and for a President in the executive branch, as well as covering Congress as a journalist.

If we meet, our conversations will always be completely off-the-record and confidential. Coffee (or water, soda, whatever) is on me. Want to give it a whirl? Email me at: mark.tapscott@hillfaith.org, with subject line “Coffee.”
