WHAT WOULD YOU SAY? Is The Bible Still Relevant?
It’s the most widely read book in human history, but some contemporary cultural observers contend the influence of the Bible is declining at a rapid rate, a trend seen in the growing acceptance of, to cite just one area, sexual practices sternly rejected by the Good Book.
But the folks at the Colson Center, who produce the excellent “What Would You Say” video series, beg to differ and in the following 5:14 video, they offer three solid reasons why the Bible’s influence today is almost certainly growing, not declining.
To cite just one such indicator, did you know that in the near future there are likely to be more practicing Christians who read the Bible regularly in China than in the United States? This despite the Chinese Communist Party’s active suppression of Christianity and the continued intellectual freedom afforded Americans by the First Amendment.
