WHAT WOULD YOU SAY: Should Home-Schooling Be Banned?

America’s public school system has steadily declined in academic achievement compared to the rest of the world in most years for several decades, with a result that a growing percentage of American families are choosing to home-school.

Even so, public education administrator and teacher union leaders, as well as academic education department authorities and non-profit advocacy groups that favor complete federal takeover of education at all levels are absolutely opposed to the home-schooling movement, claiming that it takes money away from public facilities while being less effective at educating children than those same facilities.

What are the facts? That is a question of particular concern for Christians of all stripes because followers of Christ have been instrumental in the growth of great universities for two millennia.

In addition, Christianity teaches that the education of children is primarily the responsibility of parents first, not the government at any level.
