WHAT WOULD YOU SAY: What Does ‘Tolerance’ Mean?

There likely is no more frequently repeated criticism of Christians and other defenders of traditional morals and standards of conduct in recent years than that they are “intolerant” or “judgmental” or “imposing your morals on everybody else.”

But at the root of such criticisms is often a different definition of what it means to be tolerant or judgmental. Taken to its logical conclusion, being tolerant can produce an attitude that there is no such thing as objective truth or standards.

In other words, as the Colson Center’s Sarah Stonestreet explains in the latest “What Would You Say” video, definitions matter, especially when issues of morals and ethical conduct are involved:
