WHAT WOULD YOU SAY? Why Would God Punish Jesus For My Sins?

One of the great puzzles about Christianity for many who are not followers of the Lord Jesus Christ is why did God put the punishment for their sins on Him? It just seems cruel, or worse, sadistic.

But as J. Warner Wallace of Cold-Case Christianity explains in the following “What Would You Say” video from the Colson Center where he is a senior fellow, God the Father’s transfer of punishment to Jesus was a divine act of love for us humans.

In the video, Wallace says of the unfairness that folks who say that “are absolutely correct about the cruel, injustice Jesus suffered on the cross, [but] they are mistaken about the identity of Jesus, the nature of His sacrifice, and the love of God.”
