(572 WORDS) — Dr. Susan Michaels, USA President of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) and Director of American Christian Leaders for Israel, is the featured speaker for the second of five scheduled “Why Israel Matters” seminars for congressional aides and interns.

The seminars are hosted on Capitol Hill at the Faith & Liberty Ministry Center l0cated at 109 2nd Street NE in the townhouse right behind the Supreme Court building with the 10 Commandments in the front yard.

Each session convenes at 12:30 and lunch is provided. There is no charge for attendance. Attendees must RSVP to lcruz@faithandlibertydc.org, preferably by March 23rd, so organizers can have enough food on hand. RSVPers are also asked to please indicate if they plan to bring a colleague and/or have any food allergies.

“With recent events, Israel and the Middle East are at the center of global conversations once again, and this timely discussion will explore why the topic resonates strongly with Christians and how faith shapes that perspective today. Questions and discussion are encouraged,” according to the organizers.

Dr. Susan Michael.

Michael has long been at the forefront of public education about the crucial importance of Israel to the United States and the Middle East.

“For more than 40 years, Susan has pioneered the development of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem in the United States and around the world.

She currently serves as the ministry’s USA President and is a member of the ICEJ’s international Board of Directors,” according to her group’s web site.

“Susan’s involvement with the ICEJ began as a graduate student at Jerusalem University College in 1980, the same year that the Christian Embassy was first established. Upon completing her master’s degree in Judeo-Christian Studies, she returned from Israel with a heart to further the Embassy’s mission among fellow Americans. After a season assisting the ministry’s international leadership to host a series of high-profile pro-Israel conferences across the USA, she was asked to head up the ICEJ’s USA Branch.

“In addition to a master’s degree in Judeo-Christian Studies, she holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from Oral Roberts University and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws by Piedmont International University in 2018. Susan is an author, gifted teacher, and international speaker.

“She is often called upon to address complex and sensitive issues such as antisemitism, Islam, Jewish-Christian relations, and current events in the Middle East to a diverse range of audiences. Her experience working with Arabs, Jews, and Christians from many national and denominational backgrounds has equipped her to handle delicate topics central to an understanding of Israel with extraordinary clarity and grace.”

Featured speaker in the first of the “Why Israel Matters” seminars on February 25 was Dr. Joel Rosenberg, Co-Founder of ALL ISRAEL NEWS, which describes itself as a publication “with the vision to be truth and light in the online arena. Much of the mainstream media often twists the truth or hides the truth.

“ALL ISRAEL NEWS serves as your credible source, located on the ground in Israel, in the midst of so much fake news and biases, anti-Christian, anti-Israel, and anti-Semitic bias that is being spread online.”

Rosenberg is also the author of 13 novels and five non-fiction titles, with sales of more than five million copies in 20 languages. He is the Founder and Chairman of The Joshua Fund, an evangelical Christian non-profit he and his wife launched in 2006 to rally Christians to support Israel.

Dates for the three remaining seminars after this Wednesday’s gathering include April  22, May 20, and June 24!
