CONSIDER THIS: Stored Information Requires Choice Requires Chooser
Does every human being alive today or who ever has or ever will be present on this Earth have within himself or herself information that provides logical evidence for the necessity for the existence of God?
Think about this: Every person has a unique DNA genetic code that defines pretty much every thing about them, from the color of their hair and eyes, to how tall they are, their facial features and even aspects of their personalities.
That DNA provides the instructions for every one of the millions of proteins that make up the cells of a human body. But what is the source of those instructions, why are they present and how did they “get there” in each person?
In the following 13:20 video from Brandon McGuire’s Daily Dose of Wisdom channel on Youtube, Dr. Stephen Meyer, the best-selling historian of the philosophy of science, lays out the case for the idea that information equals order, which requires choice and choice requires a chooser.
Classical philosophers since Aristotle have called that chooser the Prime Mover, or First Cause. Either DNA and everything else we know collectively as “the universe” has always been here or it had a beginning. I could go on but let’s hear what Dr. Meyer has to say about it:
