Intolerance of followers of Jesus Christ is growing in America, as seen, to cite but one example, in the many jurisdictions during the Covid Pandemic when churches were not allowed to meet but bars and gambling casinos stayed open.
Overseas, particularly in the Muslim majority countries of the Middle East where being a Christian can get you executed, persecution of Jesus’ followers is the daily experience. In China, persecution of Christian churches is official state policy, and in regions of India, Hindu extremists periodically murder Christians simply for being Christians.
But intolerance and persecution are not a new thing for Christians. There have been many eras in which intolerance rather than persecution would have been welcomed by followers of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the only way for any man or woman to enter Heaven.
