Do You Know About America’s ‘Human Zoos” History?

Imagine a World’s Fair in America at which one of the most well-publicized attractions are displays of Native Americans, Africans and Pacific Islanders who were purported to represent the Darwinian “missing link” between apes and men.

As the following award-winning Discovery Institute documentary demonstrates, this unbelievable and horrendous display was featured at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. That fair was something of a culmination of decades of freak shows and “scientific” exhibits purporting to show the alleged missing link.

This documentary shines light on one of the darkest corners of American scientific history. It’s 55 minutes long, so be sure and set aside sufficient time to watch it all the way through because once you start it, you will not want to stop it:

This was done by the “Progressives” to show how reliable “scientific atheism” based on Darwinist theory was and how “behind the times” religion was.

Well, that’s what the “Discovery Institute” wants us to think, anyway.

Sadly, there’s no shortage of racists among either theists or atheists. That has nothing to do with the scientific study of evolution. Nor does the scientific study of evolution by means of methodological naturalism have anything to do with a general philosophical commitment to atheism or materialism.
