SUNDAY SONGS: ‘I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day’ by Casting Crowns
(4:42 VIEWING) — You know how a certain song you hear will get in your mind and you can’t get it out? This version by Casting Crowns of “I Heard the Bells of Christmas” is like that for me. I can listen to it over and over, and then the melody just keeps going on in my head.
Christmas is just a few days away. Listen closely to the youth choir’s chorus throughout this wonderful composition. There is no peace on earth today but I know — because God says so — that the great day will certainly come when the He brings about that peace everywhere and forever:
Thank you, Mark. We are called to be a hopeful people. I understand love. I understand faith. (At least, I think that I do.) Hope is more difficult. It is not blindness to the present suffering nor wishfully thinking that future suffering won’t happen. We have to look past the present darkness and see a tiny glimmer and know that represents day finally breaking forth.
Wishing you and yours a blessed Christmas!
Well said and much appreciated, Robert. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
