For millions of Americans, one of the most disruptive aspects of the Covid pandemic was the move by thousands of churches to digital services. The online church at least had the benefit of providing a way for people to remain in some form of connection with others in the congregation and the various ministry activities found in most churches.
But here we are two years and a bit more past the start of the pandemic and the realization is dawning on a number of observers that digital church is simply not an adequate substitute for genuine, face-to-face fellowship, service and spiritual growth.
