(SIX-MINUTE WATCH) — Today is Good Friday, the day in history when Jesus Christ was subjected to multiple kangaroo court trials, sentenced to die for telling the truth about Himself, grievously tortured, then nailed to a cross where he died in a few hours.

With any other individual, such a gruesome death would have been the definitive end. But in a very real sense, that was the new beginning for Jesus Christ because it was followed by the most miraculous but absolutely historical event in all of history, the Resurrection.

Without the Resurrection, the literal return to life of Jesus Christ, who was seen very much alive by more than 500 eyewitnesses three days after being pronounced dead by Roman soldiers.

The Resurrection is the central fact of all history and the one with which every human being who ever has or ever will live must, sooner or later, come to terms. He said “I Am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but through me.” The Resurrection proves him correct. So what will you do with Him?
