CRAIG TRAINOR takes on his first challenge as a congressional aide and it is in a major role, Senior Special Counsel to the House Judiciary Committee and the Chairman, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). He is the former Senior Litigation Counsel for the America First Policy Institute. Craig earned his JD in 2005 from the Catholic University of America School of Law and his BA in Government from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2001.
AUSTIN DAHMER is the new Defense Policy Advisor to Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.). Austin comes to the Senate staff following three years as Principle Policy Analyst for National Security at SAIC. He earned his BS in Economics and Political Science from the Naval Academy in 2014 and his MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.

There is a new Communications Director in the office of Rep. Mark Amodei (R-Nev.) and her name is KELSEY MIX. Kelsey was previously Communications Director for Rep. Pete Stauber (R-Minn.). She earned her BS in Political Science in 2014 from the University of the Twin Cities.
SOPHIE JONES is the new Staff Director for the Democrats on the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Africa. Prior to joining the subcommittee, Sophie was Legislative Assistant to Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-Calif.). Sophie earned her MA in Security Policy Studies in 2019 from the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs. Her BS came in 2017 from the University of Arizona in Political Science and Government. The new slot represents a return for Sophie, who before joining the Jacobs staff had worked in various positions on the foreign affairs panel since 2018.
