JOEY SANDRES is the new Fellow in the office of Sen. Jim Justice (R-WVA). Joey is an attorney with a passion for helping shape the emerging field of digital assets policy. He studied law at both BYU and the University of Utah and formerly interned at the U.S. Securities and Exchanges Commission.
ASHA KALAPATAPU moves into the Scheduler position for Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) and assumes her first full-time position on a congressional staff. Previously, Asha interned for Rep. Ami Bera (D-Calif.) and Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Asha earned her BA in Sociology from the University of Texas in 2025.
MARTRE LIND moves up from the Legislative Assistant slot to Senior Legislative Assistant in the office of Rep. Rick Allen (R-Ga.). Prior to joining the Allen operation, Matre was Regulatory Affairs Coordinator for the American Medical Group Association (AMGA). Matre is a 2019 graduate of Augusta University with a BS in Political Science.
