HILL STAFF VIEWS: Huge Majority of Hill Staffers Say Biden Should Drop Out of Presidential Race

More than two-thirds, 69 percent, of congressional aides responding to the latest CNCT Capitol Pulse survey say President Joe Biden should bow out of his campaign for a second term in the Oval Office.

Amazingly, there is virtually no difference between the responses of Democratic and Republican staffers. Seventy percent of the former say Biden should leave the race, and 71 percent of the Republican staffers agree.

What may be the most shocking result, however, particularly for the President’s campaign strategists, 68 percent of staffers under the age of 30 favor Biden dropping out, compared to 47 percent of those over that geriatric marker.

Similarly, 71 percent of the females said Biden should get out of the race, as did 69 percent of the males.

The Capitol Pulse is a self-selecting sample that may or may not be statistically representative of the 20,000 or so mostly young men and women who work as aides on Capitol Hill.
