HILL STAFF VIEWS: Slight Majority (52 Percent) of Hill Staffers See Trump Win Coming
(ONE-MINUTE READ) — If the November 5 presidential election were held today, 52 percent of the responding congressional aides working on the Senate and House sides of Capitol Hill believe the winner would be former President Donald J. Trump, according to CNCT’s Capitol Pulse.
The 52 percent expecting a Trump win are mostly GOP aides, but not entirely. On the GOP side, 77 percent of the respondents naming Trump were Republican aides, while 12 percent of those responding were Democrats.
On the gender split, 63 percent of the males expect a Trump victory, compared to only 39 percent of the female.
Among the 48 percent of the responding Hill aides who think Vice-President Kamala Harris will get the victory, 88 percent were Democrats, while 23 percent were GOPers. The gender split was a little closer among Harris fans, with 61 percent being women and 37 percent were men.
