HILLFAITH EVENTS: Buckle Up Because A Great Spring Is Coming! ROOM CHANGE UPDATE
(530 WORDS) — PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OPENING SESSION OF THE FAITH AND REASON ON CAPITOL HILL SEMINAR AT 8 AM ON MARCH 4 WILL CONVENE IN SENATE HART ROOM 216, NOT IN SENATE DIRKSEN G11, AS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED.
Congressional aides who are followers of Jesus Christ, or are wondering if you should be, or maybe you are of a skeptically open mind about the whole faith thing, can look forward to a full slate of intellectually and spiritually challenging, inspiring and educational events being hosted by HillFaith in coming weeks, starting with a jam-packed March 4 ….
HERE’S WHAT’S COMING:
FAITH AND REASON ON CAPITOL HILL SEMINAR: “Answers to Eight Questions Christians Are Most Afraid of Being Asked” launches at 8 am, Wednesday, March 4 in Senate Hart 216. Expect informal discussion, valuable information and 45 minutes of great fellowship, plus free breakfast from Call Your Mother.
A complimentary copy of “Answers to Tough Questions Skeptics Ask About the Christian Faith” by Josh McDowell and Don Stewart will also be provided to each attendee of the seminar’s first session.
Dates for the following seven seminar sessions, same room and time, are: March 18, March 25, April 15, April 22, May 13, May 20, June 3. Might be a good idea to add these dates to your calendar right now!
DEAD SEA SCROLLS/AITKEN BIBLE EXHIBIT: Also on March
4 and starting at Noon in the Capitol, HillFaith will join with the Museum of the Bible (MOTB) and Speaker Mike Johnson in hosting an amazing presentation by Dr. Robert Duke, MOTB’s Chief Curatorial Officer and the Director of the Scholars Initiative, on the Dead Sea Scrolls that are on display at the museum through September. Also on hand will be the Aitken Bible, endorsed by the Continental Congress in 1782.
HOUSE CHAPLAIN’S MINISTRY FAIR: HillFaith will have a booth among the several dozen gathering in
the Pelosi Cannon Caucus Room, beginning at 11 am and concluding at 2 pm. Hundreds of Hill aides from the Senate and House attend this annual event to check out the various ministries and faiths represented on Capitol Hill.
Manning the HillFaith booth this year will be Mattie Harris, Legislative Assistant to Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wy.), and yours truly.
There is a good chance other HillFaithers will be at the booth at various times throughout the three hours of the Ministry Fair. Also on hand will be House Chaplain Margaret McKibben, for whom this annual affair is a special activity.

For Hill Aides Only (FHAO) is not your typical Capitol Hill staff meeting!
FOR HILL AIDES ONLY (FHAO) LUNCHEON: Every Monday (except federal holidays) at 12:30 TO 1:30, several dozen congressional aides from the Senate and House share fellowship, Bible study and a free lunch in the Faith & Liberty Ministry Center, 109 2nd Street NE, in the townhouse with the 10 Commandments in the front yard, located right behind the Supreme Court building.
The FHAO gathering was the first to be offered by HillFaith and has met consistently for more than five years. Hill schedules being what they are, a dozen or so folks is the average attendance, but it can easily be twice that number or half of it.
No matter how many of your colleagues show up, FHAO is a great experience, for aides who are already believers, men and women who wonder if there is something important about this Jesus guy they don’t know, or convinced skeptics looking for a challenging (but never judgmental) hour of discussion about big things.
