CONSIDER THIS: The Wonder of ‘Let The Fire Fall’ in Yosemite National Park

(SIX-MINUTE WATCH/READ) — Did you hear it or see it? The message of the creation, that is. Is there a better day than Thanksgiving Day to be thankful for all the natural beauty that surrounds us?

“The heavens declare the glory of God and the sky above proclaims His handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night-to-night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the Earth and their words to the end of the world.” — Psalm 19:1-4.

The occasion for my asking is this delightful 6:03 video from the John 10:10 Project entitled “Let The Fire Fall.”

It describes a wonderful exhibition that for a century was performed in Yosemite National Park until the early 1970s when conservation and fire safety concerns prompted its closing.

But shortly thereafter something vastly more impressive and amazing was discovered nearby. It’s a natural version of what was previously done by men. I knew of neither of these phenomena before viewing this video and, whether you view this as evidence of the universe’s fine-tuning or simply of natural processes, I hope this video gives you as much or even more enjoyment as it gave me.

And Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours:
