FOR FUTURE REFERENCE: Heading to the Beach for the Week(end)? You Should Know About the Beach Fellowship

People who work on the Hill often know all about the beaches on the Eastern Shore, including Ocean City in Maryland, and Bethany Beach and Rehoboth in Delaware.
It’s easy to just sleep right past church on a beach Sunday morning, especially after a Saturday night on the boardwalk or at Funland or whatever. But I promise you it will be worth your while to check out the Beach Fellowship that meets at 8 am on the beach at Bethany Beach.
Founded 17 years ago and still led today by Pastor Roy Harrell and his wife, Suzi, the Beach Fellowship is a non-denominational, Bible teaching church gathering devoted to sharing the truth of God’s Word, verse by verse. The fellowship also has a Wednesday evening service at the Harrell’s home.
My wife Claudia and I, plus her sister, Linda, and husband, Carmen, checked it out earlier today and came away impressed by the quality and faithfulness of the Pastor’s exposition of the Word and the good fellowship among the attenders, which included locals and folks from all over Eastern Seaboard.
The beach is beautiful at 8 in the morning and makes for a great locale for sharing the Word, fellowshipping with other believers and being reminded that rest, recreation and vacation time are all part of God’s blessings to His people.
