MEREDITH ROGERS is the new Press Secretary for Rep. Dan Kildee (D-MI), coming to the Hill after a lengthy tenure at Kountoupes Denham Carr & Reid LLC. Meredith received her MA from Johns Hopkins University last year in Communications and her BA in Government from the University of Virginia in 2019.
Joint Committee on Taxation has a new Counsel for Legislation, CAITLIN BIRD. Caitlin previously was Tax Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Caitlin received her law degree from Harvard Law School in 2022 and her BA from Stanford University in 2016 in Public Policy.

TED BUSH takes a step up on the staff of Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) to Tax and Economic Policy Adviser after serving more than a year as Legislative Assistant. Ted has also worked for Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Denny Heck (D-WA). Ted’s BS in Political Science and Government was awarded in 2015 by Columbia University.
AUDREY COOK moves up to the Press Secretary position working for Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.). Before moving over to the Tennessee Republican’s shop in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Audrey was Deputy Press Secretary for Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas). Audrey earned her BS in Public Affairs in 2017 from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Moving on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff is PAUL BURDETTE. Before taking this step to Senior Legislative and Policy Analyst, Paul worked on the panel for the retiring Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.). Paul has been in various positions with the committee since October 2018 when he worked on it for Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.). Paul received his MA in International Economics and Security Studies in 2022 from George Washington University and his BA in English and German in 2016. He has a professional proficiency in Germany and limited proficiency in Chinese and Japanese.
