LACY NELSON is the new Press Secretary for Maine Independent Sen. Angus King. Lacy previously worked as the Communications Director for the Institute of Politics and Public Service at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. Before that, Lacy worked in media-related positions for Democrats on both sides of the Hill. She is a Texas Aggie, having earned her Bachelor degree in Communications in College Station in 2017. She expects to complete her MPS in Journalism at Georgetown next year.

MICHAEL CURCIO moves into the National Security Adviser slot for Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.) following a stint at the U.S. Department of State as Senior Legislative Liaison/Senior Military Adviser. A 2001 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Michael earned his Masters in International Relations in 2009 from Georgetown University. He also received a Certificate in Legislative Studies from the same institution in 2017.
BAILEY BISHOP takes over as Legislative Assistant to Rep. Julia Brownley (D-Calif.) following stints at the Elizabeth Dole Foundation as Policy Manager and Program Coordinator. Baily’s MA in American Government and Politics was awarded in 2019 by Georgetown University and her Bachelor in Political Science and Government was awarded by Christopher Newport University in 2018.
