Intelligent Design and the Martin Luther King Jr. You Never Knew

Martin Luther King Jr. is known around the world as among the greatest civil rights leaders in history, but here’s something most people working on Capitol Hill do not know about him: MLK was an advocate of Intelligent Design (ID).

Contrary to the way in which it is typically portrayed in the Mainstream Media, ID is the view that when design is evident in something, so is a designer. And if there is a designer, then there must be intelligence. It is important to note that ID is NOT a proof of the Christian God, and many ID advocates are not followers of Jesus Christ.

But ID is a direct challenge to the claim the universe either is eternal or self-creating and thus no god is needed to explain the existence of the universe and everything in it.
