Jesus’ Nativity Scene is Coming to Capitol Hill Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Thursday, December 5 will see something quite unusual happening on Capitol Hill. If you’ve been working on the Hill for a long time, you may have seen it before, but if not, it may come as a bit of pleasant surprise when you do see it.

Beginning at 11:00 am at the Faith & Liberty Ministry Center located on the Senate side at 109 2nd Street NE, right behind the Supreme Court Building, the Nativity Scene where Jesus was born two millennia ago will be recreated.

The baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph will be there, along with the Wise Men, the Shepherds keeping watch over their flocks at night, and, of course, the camels, donkeys, cows and sheep that were also witnesses.

The Nativity Scene will start at the Ministry Center, then make its way around both sides of the Hill for about 45 minutes. Then you will head back to the Ministry Center where lunch will be provided for those who RSVP.

If you would like to join in the fun, contact Faith & Liberty Vice-President Peggy Nienaber at (peggy@faithandlibertydc.org). If I were you, I’d get a move on because it’s not every day you get to work with such a diverse, historically significant and fun bunch of people, and animals!
