Once She Hated Israel, Then She Found Yeshua

Emily Emanuel grew up in a Jewish family but her heritage was more of a political joke than anything else. “Everyone at university used to call me ‘The Jew,’ they projected a Jewish identify on me that I hadn’t actually wanted or understood,” she explains.

In graduate school, she did her dissertation for a journalism and communications degree on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. “I took the anti-Israel position and during that time, I was actually dating an Egyptian, and his friends were quite outspoken about their hatred for Israel, and they used to love the fact that I was the token Jew who hated Israel.”

But that path led to emptiness, broken relationships and personal misery for Emily. It took time but things began turning around when, thanks to her grandmother who had previously talked to her about Yeshua, she visited a Christian church. As she explains in the following One for Israel video, it was there that Emily found the solution to the conflicts that had marked her life:
