‘SATAN’S DARE:’ Former Sen. Jim DeMint Knows How to Tell a Great Apologue
Former South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint is head of the Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI) on Capitol Hill. DeMint is also an accomplished speaker and author of excellent books advancing his conservative perspectives on the issues of the day.

Sen. Jim DeMint is too humble to say it, so I will: His “Satan’s Dare” is a superb piece of fictional apologetics.
And now, with publication of “Satan’s Dare,” DeMint is proving himself to be quite a storyteller as well. I don’t want to spoil the tale for anybody, so let me just say DeMint superbly uses the fictional lives of two men, Tony and Johnny, who are profoundly different but nevertheless linked by similar life tragedies, to put the human heart, with its joys, angers, sadness, loves, doubts, hates and dreams, into the graceful context of daily life and eternity.
If you work on Capitol Hill, regardless if you are a mature Christian, a skeptical agnostic or a convinced atheist, “Satan’s Dare” will challenge you to think through what you believe to be true about the ultimate issues of life and why. It will help you clarify in your own mind and heart why you are here and where you are headed, in this life and the next.

“Senator, are you sure you aren’t related to that Faulkner guy over in Oxford?”
No wonder Josh McDowell, the great Christian apologist and author of, among many other invaluable works, including “Evidence That Demands A Verdict” and “More Than A Carpenter,” (See right sidebar of the HillFaith homepage for a free copy of this one) said this of “Satan’s Dare:”
“There is more truth in this novel than just about any nonfiction book I’ve read. I recommend “Satan’s Dare” to every person who wants to strengthen their faith and to every person who is searching for truth.”
