STAFF NEWS: Look Who’s Movin’ On Up The Hill This Week

Ashley Phillips is the new Scheduler in the office of Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), moving over from the same position with Rep. Alex Mooney (R-WV). Ashley earned her MBA in Healthcare Management in 2018 from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, and her BA in Human Resources Management from Liberty in 2015. While earning her degree at Liberty, Ashley also worked as an Internal Audit and Tax Services Analyst exposing fraudulent student activity using Title IV funds.
Justin Doil moves up as Communications Director for Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN). He previously served as Communications Assistant for Rep. Young Kim (R-CA). Doil, who managed Rep. Jody Hice’s (R-GA) successful 2018 re-election campaign, received his BA in Public Relations, Advertising and Applied Communications from the University of Georgia in 2019.
There’s a new Senior Policy Adviser to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and his name is Ethan Van Ness, working for Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), who chairs the panel. Ethan received an MA in Public Policy in 2015 from Trinity College in Hartford, CN, and a BA in Government and Religious Studies from Manhattan College in 2013.

Alexandra Webb is adding the duties of Legislative Correspondent to her work as a Staff Assistant to Rep. Fred Keller (R-PA). Webb was awarded her BA in Criminology and Psychology from Florida State University in 2019.
Taking on his first full-time position on Capitol Hill is Henry Burke, working as Digital Director/Scheduler for Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA). Henry was previously an Intern for the California Democrat. Before that, he Interned for California State Assembly Member Kansen Chu.
Alysa Buckler has taken up new duties as Staff Assistant to Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) after serving several stints as an Intern in four Hill offices. Alysa earned her BA in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude, with minors in Political Science, Law Justice and Social Control from Chapman University in 2020.
