STAFF NEWS: Look Who’s Movin’ On Up The Hill This Week

Katie McNiffe moves into her first full-time job on Capitol Hill as Staff Assistant to Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC), after serving a stint as an Intern in his office and before that in the office of Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC). Katie’s BA in Political Science and Philosophy is from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this year.

Mia Keeys returns to the staff of Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL) as Chief of Staff after working at the American Medical Association (AMA) as Director for Health Equity Policy and Advocacy. Previously, Mia was Health Policy Adviser to the Illinois Democrat and before that, Health Fellow on the same staff. Mia’s MA in Sociology was awarded in 2016 by Vanderbilt University.

Michael Garcia is the newest Professional Staff Member at the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, coming to the Senate from Third Way where he was Senior Policy Adviser. Michael’s MPA was awarded by James Madison University in International Stabilization and Recovery.
