BRIAN FAUGHNAN is the new Communications Director for the Republicans on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Faughnan previously spent more than two years as Senior Writer for Stand Together at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Brian is a 1988 BSFS in Soviet Studies and Economics at Georgetown University.

Moving up as Counsel to Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) is SAMANTHA ONOFRY. Before joining Romney’s personal staff, Samantha was a Professional Staff Member working for Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), the Ranking Member of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. Samantha earned her Law Degree in 2021 from the George Washington University School of Law and her BS in Political Science in 2018 from Arizona State University.

CLAUDIA RUNK is taking up duties in her first full-time position on a congressional staff, serving as a District Staff Assistant for Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA). Claudia previously was an Intern for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). Claudia’s BS is in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago.

Also moving from an Intern slot into his first full-time position on Capitol Hill is STEVEN FARMER, who is the new Staff Assistant in the office of Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA). Steven earned his BA in Political Science and Global Studies in 2021 from the University of California at San Marcos.
