STAFF NEWS: Look Who’s Movin’ On Up The Hill This Week!

ANNA MCCOLLOUGH moves into her first full-time position on the Hill, serving as a Staff Assistant for Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-TX). Anna previously worked as an Intern for Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) and Van Duyne. Anna expects to complete her MPA this year from Texas A&M’s Bush School of Government and Public Service. She also earned her BS in Political Science last year at College Station.

EMMA WHITE is the new Legislative Assistant working for Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-KY), after a stint in a similar position on the staff of Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL). Emma is making a return appearance in the Guthrie digs, having started her Hill career there in 2019 as a Staff Assistant. Emma’s BA was awarded in Criminology, Arabic and Political Science in 2019 by Western Kentucky University.

MATTHEW JOSEPH is the new Immigration Counsel/Detailee to the Senate Judiciary Committee working for the Chairman, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL). Prior to his move to the Durbin committee staff, Joseph spent nine years at the Department of Homeland Security. He earned his Law Degree in 2006 from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans and his BS in English and Theology in 2001 from Boston College.
