CARA CAMACHO: Is the new Chief of Staff for Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.). Cara’s impressive resume features previous stints in the private sector, the non-profit advocacy community, on the Hill, and in the White House as Director of the National Security Council (NSC). Cara’s MPA was awarded by the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Public Policy and American Institutions in 2007, and BA in American Studies was awarded in 2001 from George Washington University.

IRIS HINH takes over as Education Policy Adviser for the majority on the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, working for the Chairman, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). Before coming to the committee, Iris worked at the Center on Budget Policy and Priorities as a Research Analyst.
SASCHA GLAESER moves into the Russell Senate Office Building digs of Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY.) as Foreign Policy Legislative Assistant following more than two years as a Research Associate with Defense Priorities. Sascha received his MA in International Public Affairs from the Robert LaFollette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin (Madison), and his BA in International Studies and Global Security in 2016.
The Congressional Labor Caucus has a new Executive Director and his name is TOMMY WOLFE. Tommy comes to the caucus from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative where he served as Deputy Executive Secretary. His BA in Political Science and Economics was earned in 2018 from the University of Wisconsin (Madison).
CHRIST-SHAMMA MATALBERT makes the move from Press Secretary for Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) to Communications Director for Rep. Raul Ruiz (D-Calif.). A native of Haiti, Christ-Shamma earned her MS in Justice, Law and Criminology in 2021 from the American University School of Public Affairs and her BA in Political Science and History in 2019 from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
