STAFF NEWS: Look Who’s Movin’ Up On The Hill This Week

Ben DeMarzo moves up from his slot as Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to Chief of Staff for Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL). Ben’s Master of Public Policy (MPP) was earned at Rutgers University, as was his BA in Political Science and Government.

Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) has a new Legal Counsel and her name is Hannah Fraher. Hannah moves to the House side after a stint as Legal Aide to Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA). Hannah’s Law Degree is from the University of Virginia in 2019 and her BA in History is from Central Florida University in 2012.

Jake Nemmers lands his first position on Capitol Hill, working as District Representative for Rep. Cindy Axne (D-Iowa). Jake is a Hawkeye, having earned his BS in Political Science from the University of Iowa in 2020.

Yardena Wolf takes on the challenges of being Chief of Staff to Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) after four years at Berger Hirschberg Strategies LLC where she was a Managing Director for Campaigns and most recently a Vice President. Yardena has a Certificate from Yale University and a BS in Political Science from the University of Alabama.

Elijah Mitchell is the new Legislative Assistant for the House Committee on Education and Labor, working for Ranking Minority Member Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC). Elijah previously did Intern stints for each of Kentucky’s U.S. senators. His BBA is in Business, Management, Marketing and Related Support Services in 2020 from the University of Kentucky.
