STAFF NEWS: Look Who’s Moving Up On Capitol Hill (Might Be Somebody You Know!)

RENZO OLIVARI is Sen. Jacky Rosen’s (D-NV) new Communications Director after previously serving as the Virginia Communications Director for the Biden 2020 presidential campaign. Renzo is a 2017 BA graduate of James Madison University in Political Science, History and Political Communications.

ANGELA SWINSON is the new Communications Director for Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX). The former Middle School English teacher, marketing communications firm founder and Political Action Committee (PAC) expert goes by “A.J.” She earned her MA in Political Science and Government from Hillsdale College in 2021 and her BA in Public Relations, Advertising and Applied Communications from Liberty University in 2014. Working for Gohmert is Swinson’s first job on Capitol Hill.

REBECCA CALLAHAN takes on her first challenge in a congressional staff position, signing on as a Professional Staff Member on the House Science, Space and Technology Committee Research and Technology Subcommittee, working for Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI). Rebecca earned her PhD in Materials Chemistry in 2014 from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her BA in Chemistry in 2009 from Hendrix College.

STEVE JANUSHKOWSKY makes the jump from Deputy Chief of Staff to Chief of Staff for Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX). Steve has been with Babin since serving as Deputy Campaign Manager for the Texas Republican’s 2014 election. Steve’s MA was awarded in 2016 by the U.S. Air Force Air Command and Staff College in Military Operational Art and Science. His BA came in Political Science and Economics in 2013 from Clemson University.
