Jon Noyes had just moved from Washington, D.C. to Southern California in connection with his work when he met Rihanna. Not long after, they began dating, then their relationship deepened and they married. But there was one way in which they were total opposites – she was a Christian, while Jon was a convinced atheist.

An encounter with a pastor that ended in a manner that blew up Jon’s pre-conceived ideas about why church members are sought by religious leaders set him thinking, re-thinking and re-examining his most strongly held assumptions about reality and morality.
