WHAT WOULD YOU SAY? Cohabitation Is a Smart Way For Couples to Go

It used to be referred to as “shacking up,” but the contemporary term for an unmarried man and woman who share the same living quarters is “cohabiting.” The conventional wisdom these days is that smart couples live together before marriage to find out if they are “compatible.”

Cohabitation has become widespread in America in recent decades, with a result that it has now been around long enough for a substantial amount of credible academic research to have been conducted to test that conventional wisdom.

As we learn in the latest 5:12 edition of the Colson Center’s superb “What Would You Say?” videos, there is little question about the conclusion that jumps out of the research. To put it bluntly, the conventional wisdom about living together before marriage is a bunch of hooey.
