Would Christians Be Justified in Using Fake Vaccine Passports?

His name is Doug Wilson and he is the author of the “Blog and Mablog” web site that is occasionally controversial, always insightful, sometimes outrageous, other times wry, and in this particular case, highly relevant.

A philosopher of a reformed/evangelical bent who worked with atheist Christopher Hitchens in a televised series of debates on the existence of God, Wilson argues in the following video that Christians are justified in using fake vaccine passports due to the failure of federal officials to level with Americans about the coronavirus.

Odds are more than a few of the folks, both on Capitol Hill and elsewhere, who read this post and watch Wilson’s video will be outraged, horrified or otherwise made to feel uncomfortable. I admit to being of mixed mind at this point on his analysis.

But here’s something to think about: Wilson’s reasoning recalls the many reasons why King George III and several of his most trusted councilors referred to the American Revolution as a “Presbyterian War.”
