FOUR SUNDAYS OF CHRISTMAS: One Solitary Life

(3:32 VIEWING)  — There are many ways of measuring the influence, impact and importance of one person’s life.

He became wealthy and shared it with many others. She discovered the cure that liberated millions from the lethal agony of a terrifying disease. He led an Army that conquered the known world.

As the John 10:10 Project/Illustra Media demonstrates in the following beautiful and informative video, Jesus Christ never owned a home, invested in gold, invented a better mouse trap or became a media celebrity.

All He did was be born in an obscure village to a peasant family in a nation of little significance on the world stage, grow up to be a carpenter in another obscure village, then become an itinerant preacher who was ultimately rejected by his own people.

He was then denied and betrayed by friends, condemned in a mock trial by a cowardly Roman governor, lashed so viciously that He was near death, then nailed to a cross to die a horrendously painful death.

Yet billions of people around the world today, 2,000 years, later know His name, call Him their Lord and Savior and pray to Him daily because He declared before His death: “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6).

And on the third day after they crucified Him dead and buried, He arose again to ascend to the throne on the Right of the Father. And the day is coming when He will return to this Earth to gather with Him all who know Him as Lord to be with Him in heaven forever.
