SCIENCE AND FAITH: Chameleons Are Wonders of Creation

Calling somebody a chameleon in Washington, D.C. is almost always considered an insult or criticism because it suggests that person can change “color” — his or her politics, friends, food preferences and much more — any time when doing so is convenient or thought to be advantageous for them in some way.

Even more amazing than you know! (Screenshot from YouTube).

But the actual chameleons in nature are stunningly complex and capable, as Eric Lyons of the Apologetics Press demonstrates in the following 8:17 video. Yes, Chameleons are known for changing their hues. But there is much more to these creatures.

Did you know, for example, that a key to the chameleon’s extraordinary ability to move among tree limbs thicks and thin is the fact its two front feet have three toes facing forward and two backward? And that arrangement is reversed on the chameleon’s back two feet.

Check out the following video and you will learn even more about these amazing creatures, including the fact the chameleon’s tongue is twice the length of its body and can go from 0-62 mph in 1/100th of a second. No, that’s not a typo!:
