Marks is the Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Baylor University and one of the grizzled veterans in the field of AI. He’s the former editor of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Transactions on Neural Networks, and was also president of IEEE’s Neural Networks Council for a number of years.
