SECRETS OF THE CELL (Episode 5): Purposeful Intelligence is the X Factor That Accounts for Life

(8:51 WATCH) – There is a well-known claim among evolutionary materialists that, given enough time, random mutation and natural selection will explain every thing about how life originated on Earth and elsewhere else.

Even though it’s based upon chance combinations, given billions and billions of years, nobody should doubt that there is a direct line from the first living single cell to Albert Einstein. That’s what those who claim the material world is all there is, and life first appeared, thanks to a chance combination of chemicals.

For the same reason, we can sit a monkey down with an Apple Mac Air like the one on which this post is being created, and we shouldn’t be surprised if somewhere way off in the future that monkey writes “Hamlet” but with an unexpected plot twist! Something like Polonius being a genius.

But not everybody accepts that logic, including biochemist Micheal Behe, who in this fifth episode of his “Secrets of the Cell” video series, points us to what he calls the “X Factor” in Life:
