CONSIDER THIS: Does Math Disprove The Genesis Flood?

Bill Nye, “the Science Guy,” has argued that the Great Flood described in the sixth chapter of Genesis could not have actually happened because, assuming it occurred approximately 4,500 years ago, there would not be enough time to generate the estimated 16 million species on the Earth today.

Bill Nye, the Science Guy, may have gotten his math wrong. (Screenshot from YouTube).

It’s an interesting argument that on it’s face initially sounds convincing. But, as with so many of the claims critics advance as proof the Bible is merely a collection of fables and myths rather than the inspired Word of God, there’s more to the story.

As the following video from the Apologetics Press explains, the 16 million species estimate is just that, an estimate, and there is a great deal of evidence to question whether it’s accurate. And a strong case can be made on a micro-evolutionary basis that the animals and seeds Noah saved on the Ark were more than sufficient to repopulate the Earth, just as the Bible claims.

The video is only 8:23 in length, so give it a listen and then share your thoughts, pro or con, in the comments:

Thank you for the well documented research.

Here’s what I posted on my FB
Bill Nye is the typical purveyor of junk science. The estimate of 16 million species is just that, an estimate. There is no list, just a number large enough to advance a bankrupt theory. He was probably trying to counter the math of human population growth since the Great Flood, which is a very reasonable mathematical growth rate. Science doesn’t disprove God, it reveals God.

Bill Nye is a mechanical engineer not ny kind of a scientist. He just makles stuff up and calls them facts. I have 8 6 children and never let them watch liars.

Seemingly good video but you are definitely a species privacy violator. 39 cookies, 8 tracking cookies… Just another tv evangelist and justifiably concern that you engage in televangelism in the temple. I won’t ever return. You are more interested in identification than just spreading the word of god by works. Google and all it’s affiliated enterprises are the USA KGB. Try rumble or bitchute for more validation of your message. I rarely do googletube but this was inviting. Now to clean my cookies and cache. Cheerio!
