HILL STAFF NEWS: Male Hill Staffers More Likely to Want Kids. Surprised?

When CNCT asked in its latest Capitol Pulse survey how important it is to have kids, significantly more of the men answered “Very Important” than did the women,  77 percent to 50 percent.

The responses also included 80 percent of the Republicans saying having kids is “Very Important,” compared to 38 percent of the Democrats.

Here’s another surprise: Broken out by those below and over 30 years of age, 70 percent of the younger respondents said “Very Important” and 56 percent of the older folks gave the same response.

Thirty-one percent of the Democrats said having children is “Not Important,” while only eight percent of the Republicans gave that answer. On the gender split, 28 percent of the women said “Not Important,” while eight percent of the men gave that answer.
