HILL STAFF NEWS: Look Who’s Movin’ On Up The Hill This Week

HAYLEY FERNANDES makes the big move from the California State Capital to Congress, taking over as Agriculture Legislative Assistant to Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.). Back in Sacramento, Hayley previously served as a Fellow on the California Senate Rules Committee. Hayley received her BS in Dairy Science from California Polytechnic State University in 2022.

NAOMI PLASKY returns to the Hill as Senior Advisor on Health Policy for the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, working for the Chairman, Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.). Previously, Naomi was a Legislative Analyst for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Naomi earned her MBA in 2017 from John Hopkins University Carey School of Business. She received her BS in Psychology and Sociology in 2011 from the University of Pittsburgh.

KAILA HOOD is the new Policy Advisor to Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.). Before joining the Stansbury office, Kaila served as Senior Legislative Assistant to Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.). Kaila received her BA in Environmental Studies and Public Health from Brandeis University in 2017.
