ART MILLER is the new National Security Advisor to Sen. Mark Wayne Mullin (R-Okla.). Art joins the Oklahoma solon’s staff after stints at the Heritage Foundation and the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy. His first slot on the Hill was as a Defense Fellow in the office of Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.). Art earned his MPS in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University in 2022 and his MA in International Diplomacy in 2014 from Norwich University. His BA in Political Science was awarded in 2011 by Presbyterian College.

Making a big move from the Executive Branch to the Hill is CHRISTINA TSAFOULIAS, becoming a Senior Professional Staff Member on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, working for Rep. Greg Meeks (D-N.Y.), the Ranking Member. Prior to the Hill position, Christina was Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (AID). She earned her MA in International Affairs in 2013 from the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs and her BA in International Relations and History, magna cum laude, in 2004 from Brown University.

DAVID STEURY is the new Health Policy Director for Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.). Before hitching up with the Colorado Democrat, David was a Health Insurance Specialist for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid’s Office of Legislation. He received his AB in Government and Legal Studies in 2015 from Bowdoin College. David also has various levels of proficiency in French, Spanish, Portugese and Arabic.
