BLAINE HERGENROTHER is now the Personal Aide to Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) after serving as an Intern in the same office. Blaine is a 2025 graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a BA in History.
JOHANNA CONTRARES is District Director and Deputy Chief of Staff for Rep. Pat Ryan (D-NY). Johanna makes the move to Capitol Hill after serving nearly four years as Chief of Staff and Deputy County Executive for Ulster County in New York. She received her MS in Urban Policy Analysis in 2012 from The New School and her BS in Sustainable Tourism from the University of Illinois at Champaign in 2009.
THOMAS HERNANDEZ moves into the Research Assistant slot working for Sen. Gary Peters (D-Mich.), the Ranking Member of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. Previously, Thomas was a Legislative Correspondent to Sen. LaPhonza Butler (D-Calif.). Thomas earned his MPP in Public Affairs in 2023 from UCLA’s Meyer and Renee Luskin School of Public Affairs. He received his BA from California State University at Long Beach in 2016.
