HILL STAFF VIEWS: Congressional Aides Deeply Split on Best Streaming Service
What is the best of the multiple streaming services out there? CNCT Capitol Pulse recently asked and, judging by the legions of congressional aides who responded, there is clearly a major split in the ranks of Hill aides!
Netflix was the top choice, selected by 38 percent of the respondents, followed by Disney + Hulu in second with 23 percent. Third choice in the respondents? “Other” with 22 percent. Fourth with 17 percent was Prime Video.
But here’s the split: Fully 83 percent of Senate Democrat aides named Netflix as their top choice, compared to only 13 percent of Senate Republican staffers. Curiously, perhaps, 56 percent of GOP women said Netflix, compared to a mere 32 percent of Democratic women.
Among those who selected “Disney + Hulu,” 45 percent were Democrats, with 10 percent being the GOP aides. Thirty-two percent of the “Other” pickers were GOPers, with only three percent being Dems.
As CNCT put it: “etflix is a fav, but there needs to be a deep dive done into the polarization in streaming platform preferences. Wild splits here!”
